AfterLive is a digital memory platform that lets you upload stories, written memories, and voice recordings to build a conversational AI presence — a living memorial you can talk to.

It is designed to help people process grief, preserve the voices of people they love, and create something lasting from a life well-lived.

What AfterLive is not

AfterLive is not a resurrection. It is not a digital mind. It does not contain consciousness. It cannot feel, know things the real person never shared, or do anything the real person can do.

We believe that honesty about these limitations is more respectful — to the dead and the living — than pretending otherwise. That is why our AI is built to acknowledge this clearly when asked.

Our ethics commitments

• ◆Users can delete profiles and all associated memories at any time, permanently.

On brain uploading

You may have heard about "brain uploading" — the theoretical ability to scan a person's mind and run it as software. This is not that.

Current science has no way to scan, copy, or transfer human consciousness. We believe it's important to say that clearly, without hype.
